Take it to the (broken) street!

Roads are notoriously bad in Guyana with pot holes and poor drainage during rainfall. Sidewalks are rare outside of Georgetown so pedestrians have to make do with the sides of the roads. Here are a few ladies who decided to take matters into their own hands:

These nurses in Linden blocked a road near the Linden Hospital Complex to protest terrible road conditions that have led to patient injuries in the past. They were promised road repair within two weeks. [Demerara Waves]

Am wondering if that’s how we get some repairs done in Ogle…
